We Are Trees is a moniker for indie artist James Nee, a musician from Virginia.  We Are Trees has been a solo project of Nee’s since he was sixteen, though he occasionally asks his friends to back him up during live shows.

I have been listening to quite a lot of We Are Trees lately. I really love the minimalism to it and yet it still has that indie edge to it.
