The video above is a small description of the awesome life illustrator Andrew Groves lives. Camping out in the woods whittling away creating amazing products with a beautiful colours part of his side project Miscellaneous Adventures. He has inspired me vastly to create more with natural products and get off the computer - get outside a little more. Also that Barn is wicks, i could imagine myself living comfortably in something like that.

Trying as hard as i can to resist reblogging everything off of The Fox is Black.

In september when i started my second year of A-levels, we were given a project in graphics to create something to do with Passions and Obsessions. We were allowed to do our own passions and obsessions. So i went in the direction of illustrating all things vintage. The final result was this. I am really happy with how this turned out and had a lot of fun with playing around with all the cameras.

Scott Wise is a designer/developer from Toronto, Canada. I saw his work the other day on The Fox Is Black and I instantly liked it. These Birds especially. I love the texture the photos give the birds and how it works with their feathers. Scott has a lot of other cool things on his website so check out the rest.

I think I have mentioned Oliver Jeffers on this blog before. If not and you haven’t heard of him go check him out, because he is just a brilliant illustrator, artist, creative, maker…..

This video is all about how he works and mostly focuses on his incredible children’s stories. I found this video really inspiring and ended up learning a lot. (At the risk of embarrassment I will one day post a children’s book I did for my GCSE final piece.((I may even show the brilliant children’s book my sister did called ‘Finding Ted’s Laugh’) If you are interested in Oliver, Illustration or Children’s stories you might want to spend about 44 minutes of your time watching this video, because I believe Oliver has completely changed the way books have been designed and written. I only wish I had grown up reading them, rather than looking a little strange on a train at 15 years of age reading “How to catch a star”.

I love this Bon Iver illustration, the style is really nice. However i have no idea who it is by. If anyone knows please tell me.

I love the work of Adam Hancher. I came across it a couple of weeks ago when he made a new portfolio site. His many colour screen prints have that effect on me. I love the whole quirky nature of it as well. I love his whole portfolio, but these three i found in particular really cool. Colours he chooses go together so well and show so much expression.
